why grenada?

the vision

"Grenada and the investor visa is a great opportunity"

Grenada is an island country in the Caribbean, which is part of the West Indies, located near Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago.  In order to attract foreign investment to the country, the government created an investment program that allows foreigners to invest into an approved project and obtain Grenada citizenship.  The investment can be between $200,000 and $350,000, and the full investment does not have to be made until after the applicant receives their Grenada passport.  (Please note that additional fees and costs will apply to obtain Grenada citizenship.). Five years after investing in the project, you may sell your interest in the approved project to a third party.

Having Grenada citizenship allows you to travel freely to over 115 countries without seeking a visa.  Some of these countries include China, the United Kingdom, Argentina, France, Spain and the Czech Republic.  In addition to visa free travel, Grenada citizens are allowed to seek an investor visa in the United States.

Grenada And the E2 Visa

Grenada Citizenship by Investment

The citizenship by investment program for Grenada is one of the newest programs available to investors. The Grenada investment visa program provides second citizenship in Grenada and a passport to investors offering visa-free travel to over 153 countries including the UK, EU Schengen countries and China. Grenada also offers access for its citizens to the USA E2 treaty investor visa.

The Grenada program is one of the newest citizenship investment programs available to investors. Introduced in 2013 it offers a low cost entry for a second passport. Grenada is the only Caribbean program with no country restrictions. All applicants are welcome but are subject to strict due diligence checks.

There are fees and taxes to pay in addition. Applicants must be of outstanding character, in good health, of high net worth and with no criminal record. There is no requirement to visit for an interview for the Grenada citizenship program and in fact there is no need to travel to the country to complete the application.

There are no specific country restrictions with the Grenada program (includes Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria). Children and dependents up to age 30 can be included (subject to restrictions) along with dependent parents over age 55 (if fully supported). There is no tax on worldwide income and processing of the application takes around 4 months.

The Investor E2 Visa

The E-2 treaty ‘Investor Visa’ signed between Grenada and the United States allows citizens of Grenada to operate a substantial business in the U.S. and reside there. Many countries in the world including China and India do not have an E-2 treaty with the USA. In such circumstances investors can obtain citizenship of Grenada first and then apply for a USA E2 Visa.

The E2 investor visa is a nonimmigrant classification that allows a national of a US treaty country to travel and reside in the United States for up to five years for the purpose of investing a substantial amount of capital in an approved US commercial enterprise.

E2 visas are highly sought after by investors because the visa provides substantial benefits to investors, their spouse, and qualified children under the age of 30. Benefits include access to exceptional education opportunities and the option to reside outside of the United States with unlimited re-entry privileges for the duration of the visa.

Obtaining Grenada citizenship and the investor visa is a great opportunity for many who wish to legally live in the US. If you are interested in learning more, please contact me
